• Value SLIs: SlaOS now supports value-based SLIs, allowing users to define SLIs as a stream of events rather than just attainment/ratio’d metrics like average latency, error rate, or uptime. This means you can choose to define your SLI either with a benchmark in a ratio or simply as the metric itself. This update aims to accommodate different user perspectives on SLI definitions, ensuring flexibility without imposing a one-size-fits-all approach.

  

  Impact on interface is minimal. If you decide to define only one query, we’ll consider it a value. If you define multiple queries and formulate a ratio, we’ll treat it a as ratio!

  Note: All existing SLIs will be ported to become ratio SLIs. No further action is needed on your end.
